What is a Gamemaster? Gamemasters (GMs) create the content of Zentrela: mostly NPCs. A GM's job is to write up configs for the game. These include quests, items, shops, holograms, and generic NPCs. Out of these, the biggest job is to create generic NPCs - these are NPCs like Farmer Jones in Korwyn - villagers that just say things when you talk to them, and don't do anything else (aren't related to any quests, shops, etc.) Do GMs get a rank? Since all work done by GMs is done out of the game (you use /loc to get coordinates but there aren't any other commandsneeded), GMs do NOT have an in-game rank. GMs DO get a forum rank as well as a Discord rank. What do I need to be a GM? The most important skill in being a GM is being able to write well. This includes both having a creative writing style as well as having good grammar and spelling. I proofread every config myself, and if I have to constantly fix things myself then there's a problem. Outside of good writing, having some familiarity with Zentrela's lore is a plus (not that there's much lore right now). How do I apply? Fill out this form: Code: In-game name: SAT/ACT Writing score (if taken): Write out dialogues for 5 NPCs - each NPC should have at least 3 lines of dialogue: NPC dialogue is a single line that the NPC will say when you talk to them. The line that is chosen is randomly selected out of all the lines that they have. Talk to any NPC with a yellow name in-game - each different thing they say is one dialogue line.
